We are Trybe

The Trybe team is passionate about great food. We connect skilled home cooks to those who are hungry but bored of takeaway. At home or in the office, without breaking the bank.

Our manifesto

Our manifesto

  • We believe cooking and eating are social activities, that shape and define us.
  • They connect us with each other, even when one is eating alone.
  • We believe in new flavours and surprising experiences, that make your mind wonder.
  • Because food really is a cultural force.
  • We believe in the craft that goes into every meal – or should go into every meal.
  • We believe in empowering home cooks to earn with their passion.
  • We believe food is not just for Instagram but for someone’s dinner table.
  • And oh, we believe that food that’s made with love, by real people, actually tastes better.
  • We dare you to try it.

Ilkka Salo

Co-founder and CEO

Ilkka has a curious mind and is driven to improve people’s lives through technology. Prior to founding Trybe, he worked across all continents in leadership roles and technology law with Nokia and Clifford Chance. Ilkka loves food, and he was often frustrated by the difficulty in finding authentic dishes that would fit into his busy schedule. He believed that good quality, home-cooked meals should be available to everyone, everywhere. Trybe is the realization of that vision.
